This E. J. Davy original is designed to play with the way glass refracts light as it passes through the medium. By blowing these ‘clam shells’ out of a single transparent colour means and mounting them on a white (or off white) wall allows the shadow they cast to take on the hue of the pieces. E. J. Davy uses each colour to create ‘rivers’ that intersect each other. This glass wall installation art brings a sense of scale to the room, the wall is 10.5 feet high and 18 feet wide.

He dreams of making this concept again but on a larger scale – not more components – but bigger components. The reason for this is so that there will be more overlap of the colours. This way when, for example blue and red shadows over lap it will make a purple shadow, or blue and yellow over lap will make a green hued shadow. As projects come to completion ideas, and ways to build on concepts arise, leading to even more awesome possibilities. This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to where this will go in the future!
